Because:Mounting on a wall brings finicky cable management unless you have a separate extruded bulkhead-style drywall.I have a crapload of other cables and power (alarm box, router, etc) which I accommodate behind that cabinet.I needed space for my Blu-ray collection, a few bottles of wine and some décor stuff. Most importantly, I got the cabinet with the house, and it was the perfect size for the last point above!
