Hope like hell for Mr Froome it happens but think that it will only happen if Mr Wiggit blows up totaly, Sky is British and Froomes not quite as British as Wiggit is....so he wont ge the support until wiggit blows...methinks

I agree Wiggins and Cav must abandon the race before he'll get any support

And by then it might be to late

Cav's evendours are going to be interesting to follow and see how sky handle the points chase and GC chase...if they actualy decide to chase the points that is

Despite my extreme dislike of both the Texan and his Belgium puppet master I think the creation of this team after the nightmare at Astana was a huge mistake. Trek then tried to get some value for their sponsorship in an extremely poorly thought through merger/take over of the Leopard guys.

What a failure that has been. Clearly no self respecting "modern" cyclist is prepared to put up with JB's approach. It would be interesting to chat to Robbie Hunter about his year at the shack.

And to think Bob Stapleton couldn't find a sponsor for Highroad and left the sport while JB is able to continue. Says a huge amount about corporate America.

I tend to agree, I think Bruyneel is a dinosaur, and much like the dinosaur his days in the sport are numbered.

None too soon either if you ask me.

As I think I mentioned earlier, LA has also lost a huge portion of his following in the US, to many main stream american fans and the recent American media he is seen as argumentative and elitist and considers himself above the law, something they punish very quickly there.

Certainly LA has nowhere near the status he held say three years ago when he could sway corporate sponsors with his name. I am not sure he can do that anymore.

Personally I think Radioshack only got involved because of LA and home base support, but his recent issues have been a bit of a blight on the company profile and its very unlikely they will be enamored with these investigations. Contractually they are probably obliged to honor their agreements but I dont think its turned out the way they expected.

They will place in Top 3 Teams

I am not sure that will be sufficient to redeem an ailing team, in my opinion the team prize is largely unnoticed in the greater scheme of things, to redeem a really poor year they need a podium in the GC or one of the category Jersey's - with Horner been punted for the GC I really dont see that happening.

Their best bet, as I see it, is Fabian will wear yellow on Sunday but even thats unsure, he has serious competition. However, above that, I doubt they will feature.

Jealous? Hell yes! Enjoy it, it's such a buzz watching the peloton go by, the caravan, the pros and then the entourage. Goes for ever.

To commemorate George Hincapie's record-setting 17th Tour de France, BMC custom-painted this SL01 with gold highlights, "lucky seventeen" and "gentleman's round" motifs. Hincapie has a saddle height of 82.5cm, a reach of 62.3cm (tip of saddle to center of bars), uses a 140mm stem and 175mm crankarms. He trains and races with an SRM power meter, and uses a Fizik Aliante saddle. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com
