Is it possible to have a sticky on guidelines to posting a classified on the hub that hubbers wanting to post an ad get referred to before they can post their ad?

Maybe until someone has posted 2 or 3 ads.

This may eliminate some of the omissions we see regularly in ads such as:

Missing in the title of the ad

  • no size for frames/bikes
  • no shoe size
  • no clothing size
  • location for team mates such as for epic
  • change title to include sold prefix when item sold

I'm sure there are other items we would all like to see included.

Is it worth it to try this to improve the hub?

I have 2 items for sale on the hub, I had 2 questions regarding one of the items and both bits of info requested were already in my advert, seems that sometimes people are to lazy to read properly

You would think it is common sense. Not sure a rule about it would actually help but I suppose it is worth a try. No details, advert deleted. Perhaps then they will learn but it would involve policing.

We'll have to start a whole new wail and cry section for newbies to growl at the moderators for deleting their perfect ads!

Why not follow the Gumtree style format? Blank fields to complete with a description and a block to write you story.

PS You are always going get trolls that either don't read properly or are just there to cause k@k. I was selling a car under the vehicles section and got two stupid questions (Wheelsize and weight... Tjops!)
