Saw this in my German Mtb mag I got in the post this morning.

Probably old hat for all the Tech Fundi's, but I think this is a damn fine looking drive train.

11 Speed Cassette: 10-42

Big Blade: 28,30,32,34,36, or 38

Rear Derailleur: moves horizontally only

Crank: 650g. No Chain Guide required

That is a single blade up front, no front derailer.

Think it will work on most tracks but could be a problem for weaker riders

makes perfect sence to me..... love it.... only downfall could be when you need to get throught the cassette fast...ie. down a steep dip, then need to get into an easy gear quickly to climb the other side? on 2 x 10 you just drop off the big chainring.

I'm super excited about this!

Saw it a couple weeks ago and I'd love to have it, with the grip shift, on my Dual Susser. (which hardly gets used since I built my SS)

Looks great but don't think aplication will go past lap racing.Depending what blade you put up front you will loose too much at the top or the bottom of thr gearing.

With a 10 and a 42 at the back maybe not far off current 2*10 systems?

I have 2 x10 System, been riding on big ring for past 3 weeks now. Kinda like the idea.

Need to ge a x-0 grip shift then drop the small ring and shifters. Hope I can get away without chain guide?

Run 38 infront and 11 36 at rear. only makes you stronger.

I couldn't on my 1*9 but maybe a combination of short/med cage RD, correct chain length and a SS specific chainring?
