This will also help me, you and everyone else when posting an ad ourselves, to see when and if we might have forgotten to mention something.

People, too long have we opened ads with a subject that states its a Large, and then to be mocked into a 16.5" frame ad.

Too long have we suffered looking at non-descriptive ads, without pictures of the goods for sale.

Too long, have we kept quiet about incorrect or non-existent specs on dérailleurs, suspension and brakes.

Its time we stand up for what we believe in and demand change!!

Viva!!!

Your comment sounded like an independence day speech so I though “viva” would be the best way to respond

 it did a bit... I thought maybe Churchill would be appropriate. We will fight them on the beaches! We will fight them on the single tracks... and in the LBS stores!

Cant agree more .

I dont even bother looking at a bad add, if the person is not willing to make a effort and place correctly then its not the person you want to do bussiness with .

You are just a grumpy SS rider, what are you doing trawling the classified in any case? :whistling:

Just an idea...

Create templates for Bikes to include all detail BEFORE posting an ad....

Example:

Choose 1: a) Hardtail b)Full Suspen...

Size: a) Small b)Medium c) Large

Components:

1. Front Derail.....

2. Rear Deraill....

3. Suspension Front:

You get the picture?

there are too many non descriptive, weak placed ads, with zero or wrong specs.....

Great idea.

Hi guys,

Definitely a great suggestion.

We're currently busy with development of a number of updates to the classifieds section. Included in these are per category required fields (i.e. a template).

E.g. if you're advertising a complete bike you'd need to specify the various components, size, etc. (as suggested above)

This will mean more complete adverts without the need for the many (generally obvious) questions like what size, etc.

It'll also allow for some nice browsing / searching features to allow narrowing your search to a specific size / specification within the category.

These are quite considerable changes to the platform and will take a bit of time to complete, but you should expect to updates within the next month :)

There will be more info about the updates as we get closer to release.

Thanks!

Matt
