I must drop that habit, when I am bored I do crap like this...you saw me yesterday with that tape on my freewheel haha....when the parts come from crc i will come knocking man. Only concern I have is that I got one of those 1/8 halflink chains, will this be fine for the 3/32 chain blade and rear cog or should I have gone for 8speed chain to keep em all in sync...size wise?

I've run that exact set up for over 2500 km and apart from breaking my chain cuz it was on backwards never had an issue.

Yup, 1/8" is cool. Don't stress. Hurry up so you can come and ride SS bikes with us.

Dangle, what nice route have you got in Midrand for us?

You lads are crazy. Riding with dangle is like trying to duct tape the wind to the ground.

That's why I asked for the route, never hoped to keep up!

Rumour has it that all you JHB boys could not ride a geared bike over a small hill in Cape Town and would have to walk, rumour also has it that you JHB boys also walk your SS bike more than you ride it ... rumour has it that there are lots of JHB boys coming down to CT this weekend looking for a hairy rider on a SS with the intention of "moering him"

Still some work to be done but she's done 2 rides already. Will convert back to MTB wheels after payday and paintwork needs a touch-up here and there. Bathroom scale reckons she's lost weight to just about 10kg. Not so sure about the jockey type tensioner but it'll do for now.

We will all keep up.

I am thinking around 30-40 k's around Sunvalley-Riversands-Beaulieu and back to the Mugg and Bean .

Looks very cool. Love the old Cannondales.

That tensioner however does not look right. Chain looks a bit slack.

What do you reckon, remove a few links?

Strictly rumour... bring your SS for the Delta Dash, and we will see how you CT girls do after 6 hours at 1550m :)

Free leg wax if Dangle beats you :) (for Dangle)

Free BSC wax if you beat Dangle (for Dangle - then we call him Smoothie...)
