Btw Would you mind terribly picking my things up on Saturday for me?

I can't make it.

Ja of course, but I'll only be going through on the Saturday if I don't have to go the long way around. Sounds like the short route/pass will still be open on Saturday, so then its cool. Check how your things work out, and if need be, send me your details, cell no, etc, and I'll hook you up

I have no ambition to get into your petty argument, but this thread was started by JGR to get advice from riders who had done the ride before.

Who is doing this and can offer some advise from previous years.

So as someone who has done it a number of times and who contributed some advice earlier, I think it is important to set the record straight:

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER ON SATURDAY. You can do so on Sunday morning, it takes about 3 minutes if you have your race number and about 7 if you do not.

The Race site has phrased this poorly, and you have made a meal of replying to someone who had tried to save you and others an unnecessary four hour round trip.

Use it, don’t use it, but please do not confuse the issue for others.

I just wanna know if their is an after party with loads of cold cheap beer?

Theres normally free Mitchells for those who finish fast enough :) remember people are thirsty so the free beer goes quickly.

Really? Where? Last time we were "looking" for it, but no luck...

They obviously had one or two too much of the free Mitchells mentioned above :whistling:
