I'm no 94 & with a field this size it's best I get out of the way ASAP & take full advantage of being in the 1st group i.e. not be held up on the climbs or ST if there are any I just don't have the patience.

weathersa's 15 day forecast shows a NE wind of 51km/h for race day - let's hope the forecast changes (as it usually does)! NE wind conceivably better than a southerly wind, though...

Out of interests sake and so we know for next year - what races or events help to improve your K2C seeding?

Not sure about the other racetec races, but as far as I am aware, the three races that make up most of the seeding stats for the western cape is the knysna classic 85km, Die Burger 75km and your previous time for last years race.

 

Had a technical last year that cost me loads of time, this year only did the knysna 50 as it was my GF's first race, and had to pull from die Burger due to illness, so i got me a nice crappy seeding in group 5 :

@ Covie. I did not do any Mtb races this year, and did'nt do any of the races you mentioned. Still got 2nd group seeding. Wonder what criteria they used.
