Need some advice with the subwoofer setting.

Anyone know if adjusting this will give better bass?

Factory setting has it like this.

So what worked for you in the end ?

With nothing else to go on, for most music I would have changed the default "Spinal Tap" settings of volume 11 on all bands back to flat (0 dB), and then played around - maybe tweaking the 31 Hz level slightly down further.

Any recommendations for an amp for a desktop setup. Just need to power 5" speaker. Nothing amazing just need to be good. Also assume a USB DAC is a good idea?

Hey @DuncanCT,

On my desk I have a Topping TP32 driving a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze bookshelf speakers.

I also use it to drive headphones being anything from my Grado’s to Sony, Bose and Sennheisers.

I have had a couple of different DAC/Amp combos and these Toppings are fantastic and huge value.

Takes Usb, optical and RCA inputs.

+1. Think those Toppings came out about 10 years ago and are still hard to beat for value and performance.

A combination of things.

Dropped the EQ to +2

Set crossover at 80Hz

Set front speakers to small.

Set volume level at +3 on amp.

Turned the gains on sub down until i could just hear it at low volume.

Moved it around a few times but works best un front.

EQ has 4 setup options and using 1 for music and 2 for movies.Bass levels are higher for movies.

There you go.

Goodness gracious that's a great system you have there.A few nice bikes invested in it

Those K1's are awesome speakers.I guess you know the link between them and the B&W Nautilus speakers.A friend of mine had a pair running off a Macintosh system and they blew me away.

My dream is a pair of the Oval B1 in red.

Howzit.

I'm looking for someone who can work on B&O.

Stumbled across a working 1970ish Beomaster 1600, but it needs attention and a proper clean. I can't even get it open, and my sausage fingers...

Also looking at Beomaster 2400 and Beovox speakers...

Thanks

Giya G3 series2

I dropped my kid off at a play date last night and the dad has a pair of these he bought 5 years ago in UK.

They run off a complete set of McIntosh amps, preamps,Dac and record player.

Had to have a listen and he was eager to show it off a little.

Will make sure the kid goes there often[emoji1787][emoji6]
