JC Posted October 17, 2012 Share I bought a RAVX TX3 indoor trainer on gumtree and it's in a very good condition. I can't however fit it on my 29er MTB. This after consulting with at least 4 bicycle shops. Does anyone know if it is compatible with a 29er MTB or am I possibly not fitting it right! I was so looking forward to riding at home tonight! You don't need it to be the full size of your normal wheel, and it'll be a dedicated wheel you use for training. Also means the idt won't eat up your knobblies. Try getting a wide road tyre to use on idt.It may be a schlep to change the tyre all the time though. I actually bought a slick tire and I was gonna use that for the idt. It appears that the bike shop gave me the wrong size tire even though they have the exact same bike in the shop.
