Mig more than anyone will know none of the pro peloton were clean. Remember that their idea of innocent is not getting caught.....

The principle that applies is as follows;

"I'm honest.......but I'm not fanatical about it."

Indurain is the only person in international cycling speaking sense at the moment. USADA is still to produce scientific evidence on the matter and there aren't even any rumours in this regard. Wonder Mr Le Mond fits into the picture since he is not the biggest LA fan?

You're kidding right? Never heard of David Walsh, Paul Kimmage, Jonathan Vaughters, Betsy Adreu, Michael Ashenden, Floyd Landis, Tyler Hamilton, Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie, Emma O'Reilly, Christian VandeVelde, Dave Zabriski, Le Equippe etc?

If I was a pro rider, but say only 3rd best, I would get some buddies together and just say we saw No 1 an 2 taking EPO. Bada boom I'm Number 1 (unless of course someone else susses that move out and does the same to me)

“I wasn’t so naïve that I didn’t have an inkling that he was probably hedging,” Lampe said. “Everybody in that sport cheats, if you want to call it cheating. He was still the best; he was beating everybody else who was cheating. And he’s still a miracle with respect to beating cancer and all he has gone through. Look at what he has done with his altruistic work: That is something to be admired. He had the platform, and not everybody who has the platform takes advantage of it.”

As a matter of interest, would you pay a speeding fine without the necessary camera evidence but backed by the testimony of others?

No but that's because speeding fines work differently... However it 26 people testified that you had murdered someone, then guess what? You going to prison buddy... The fact that he never tested positive is completely irrelevant, other cyclists who never never tested positive (including some of Lance's teammates) have admitted that they used drugs during the same period.

So unless you can prove that the tests were effective (which you can't because hundreds of negative tests came up on doping cyclists) then the testimony of 26 people (all under subpeona) is more than sufficient to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Armstrong was guilty. It's unfortunate, as I was an Armstrong fan, but sometimes reality sucks...

I agree - go and check out his ex-team mate, Tylor Hamilton's book release spilling all the beans - surely he must have thought..... LETS MAKE SOME MONEY at the expense of Lance Armstrong! I think they are not trustworthy....!

We are not here to criticize or judge or be nasty to one another - this is simply a forum to express thoughts and concur in sensible discussions.

Some may think Lance is a cheat, some may think he is not, but we all would agree that he has done more to give life and hope to cancer patients than any of us sitting on our lazy ass and judging him.!!

He is saying that according to the rules that govern cycling then and now, he is innocent. Yes there are all these testimonies and other factors that for some people will remain nothing more than a he said she said type of conviction. The rules have not allowed for this and Mig is obviously not happy with this form of evidence to prove someone guilty. It sets a precedent in sport that may come back to haunt many other athletes in their career. What's to stop the next shooting star being taken down from the sport by a group of individuals comcing forward and making similar claims to get them banned?? Not so stupid actually.....

You make an interesting point.

Say team Sky is fed up with Wiggo's arrogance, they bunch together and say that they saw Wiggo take gummiberry juice. Will the UCI convict him- and if not, it opens the gap for a LA appeal.

(PS not a Lance fanboy!)

As a matter of interest, would you pay a skip stop sign or ride over white line fine backed up by the testimony of only one traffic cop? And what about the new cell phone fine in Cape Town?

A lot of trials only have witness accounts so I still don't get the you can't be guilty idea.

and I can concur with you on this - correct me if I am wrong but he never actually failed a dope/drugs test EVER. am I right? he fought cancer and was the best cyclist in the world. Feel sorry for him that this has happened to him - therefore I wont judge him.
