Guys & gals that is a really awesome gesture but... Since MTN came on as a communication partner we have had a small budget to be able to offer our volunteer marshal services here & there.

I will make sure that Stan is reimbursed for his expenses from the MTN budget and if no-one has a problem with it, I would like you to donate your collection to http://www.thehubsa....anking-updated/

I will do as you requested.

Once again, thanks to you guys.

That was fantastic! Makes me think that a TheHubSa team could work after all. We tried it a couple of years back, but there wasn't really enough interest! Maybe we're ready?

Thanks guys and gal for an awesome ride! I really enjoyed it and it was great meeting everyone! The best part about the ride was the delicious chocolate milkshake at the end!

Thank you Wannabe for organizing and keeping me company the last few km's!

And a big thank you to Think Bike Marshal Stan for accompanying us! It was greatly appreciated!

@indianroadrunner, we all had to start somewhere! Just keep at it and you'll be turning over lots of happy miles on your bike soon! Just an FYI, Die Burger also has a 40km route, and you've already done Old Helshoogte, which is the most difficult part, so why don't you think about doing it?

thanks dizzy lizzy and dee biker. i will consider it just as a starter ! hate being the slowest in the pack !!!!

but thanks you guys for the vote of confidence i know alotta of my buddies are interested in cycling but are scared to come out due to the more experinced riders leaving them in the dust. but with support like what i am recieving motivates newcomers.

Yeah, good idea in doing the 40 km race.

Once you have your first race number on your back, there's no turning back - you're a racer!.

Filthy that I missed the ride this morning. Knew it might be looking shaky when I went on to see my 1yr old @ 4:30 this morning, she blew chunks all over me and proceeded to scream like 50,000 teens at a free Bieber concert.

Docs, bronchitis, a million meds and only just come up for air.

Will be there with bells on for the next one. Sounded a great ride and spewin' I missed it.

Had a great ride. Thanks to everybody. Thank you Stanley for your time effort and patience.

Next time I will have to ride the roadbike. You guys and gals were killing me on the mtb.

You guys did not follow the script. whistling.gif . I took it nice and slow at the back (ok, had one or two bursts up the front, just to throw the fox in the chicken in the coup, as they say.http://1.1.1.5/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif The youngsters did the rest all by themselves. http://1.1.1.3/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png ) Rest of the time I hanged around in the middle to the rear. Did work hard enough there though, as I did a lot of "pushing" up all those rollers from Nelson's.

edit = typo.

Thanks guys for a leka ride :-) when we got to Smellington the group had grown to about 32 :-) unfortunately I was dumb enough to go with a 2 man breakaway from smellington and boy did we motor :-) And yes remember to keep some legs for Remhoogte near te end.;-) thanks wannabe for arranging it. The thinkbike marshall also did a sterling job. Might join next Saturday again.
