I battle to believe that KE would not have known about the doping, given how much time they spend together.

So if he did know about it, then I have no sympathy, because he did nothing to stop it.

Wether he knew or not.

I often find that a completely spurious argument at best.

How often have we heard of people even closer in business, who get turned over. Or worse, in marriages/intimate relationships.

So how is it that two team mates should have any greater intuition.

Given how much time they spent together, they still spent as much time apart in different cities with their respective families.

****, that dodgy Austrian held his daughter in a basement for how long. Not that I like their beer any less.

Rightly or wrongly it does put a responsibilty on team mates for their team's doping practices. Perhaps if you know your mate's doping will cost you your team ride team members would be more vigilant and active in rooting out this scourge from what is their livelihood.

1. I have a Nedbank account and I will keep it. If it was my own money, I would have pulled the sponsorship too because it dragged my brand through the mud by associating it with cheating. (Not that I think any bank is completely innocent of anythingwink.png )

2. Nedbank says a lot without really saying anything. Between the lines I read that they will not sponsor a pro team easily in future. This will discourage other big businesses from doing so also. That can only make it more difficult for young up and coming riders to make the, already very very difficult, jump from amateur to pro.

3. David George admids he did dope, but otherwise says nothing while there are lots of unanswered questions. It is better not to try and make any deductions from all that he left unsaid. His statement sounds like a lawyer wrote it.

4. Kevin Evans statement sounds more like something a real person could have said, but it still sparkles in what is left unsaid. More questions.

5 Altogether not very informative.

Saw a guy on the road today with a 360 Life jersey...

There is a guy I get regularly riding through Obz and and other days on Suikerbossie in 360 kit on a roadbike. Did they sponsor any road teams or is it part of mtb training regimen?

It is so funny how quick banks are to judge others, Nedbank withdraws due to doping, Rabobank withdraws due to doping, yet when the world was thrown into financial turmoil due to the reckless and glutiuoness acts of banks that was then rescued by means of public funds it deemed to be aceptable, i tell tou what I would rather have my sister work in a knock shop than my brother be a banker

Neither of those two banks caused the international financial meltdown. Your assumption is not too different from saying that you must be a doper because you cycle.wink.png (But I agree with your opinion about banks are not the good fairy godmothers they like us to see them as - more like a neccessary evil.)

This is such bad news!!!

I see many people are bummed out by this announcement...

But to be frank, I don't really care!

I don't care who the pro's get their money from. It has no direct impact on my life. It doesn't keep me awake at night... and it's not like KE and his family are now going to starve, and will have to stand in bread queues... chances are, he will pick up another sponsor, no problem. He gets results.

There are real unemployed people, out there. Some that had real jobs. Compared to that, a profesional athlete losing a sponsorship sounds pretty darn trivial and shallow.

Plus... Nedbank moving into the events side of things benefits all those that paticipate, not just a few sponsored riders. I think it's a pretty good deal for us average Joes and Joelines.

So with that, I put on my flame suit, and pull my box of tissues closer... no not because I'm crying over a few riders losing a sponsor... I'm cutting onions

Agree mostly with what you've said bar the the "Joelines" bit - I would've referred to "Josephines".
