Do you have a 1.5m sticker on your car?

Is there anywhere else you can get the stickers? Would happily hand them out to customers in the bike shop I help out at on weekends.

The stickers are available in the January edition of Bicycling magazine.

What I actually want to find is the source of the stickers. I want a batch to put on the counter at the bike shop and hand out to customers.

Do they make ones that say "2.0m" for those who ride with bars 750mm or wider?

Those bikes shouldn't be on the road… whistling.gif

New Bicycling magazine also came with a sticker.

I have not bought a Bicycling mag in 5 years and don't plan to start now

They should be in all the bike shops

Precisely my problem.

You need to be part of the inner circle of magazine readers it would appear.

What? A lot of 29ers have wide bars, and they're the perfect SA road bikes!

haha! ok, but on a serious note... this 1.5m campaign is a worthy cause. As much as blame can fly back and forth between motorists passing too close, and cyclists riding 5 abreast... things need to change here in SA.

Here's what I noticed in France on the narrow, twisty alpine roads (and yes, I was on a DH bike with 780mm bars).

  • riders stick to single file
  • motorists drive behind cyclists until they feel it is safe enough to pass
  • when they pass they change lanes (like one would when overtaking another car), no passing super close to the rider so as to scare him
  • there was no hooting. No matter how long the traffic was behind a cyclist
  • there was no giving of "the bird" by the cyclists

I felt safe riding on the roads there!

Nope. I do not have one. The yellow does not go well with my car... and I do not like stickers on my car in any case... Maybe a visually more appealing, reflective at night one could do. Maybe just the outlines for on the rear window? Its a little higher than the bumper... Like those my family stickers?

Ditto. I do have a teeny oval Campag sticker on the back window though. If you didn't know it was there, you'd miss it.
