Should still be dry on the other side of the mountain

We had 130mm over the weekend on our farm in the mountains just SW of Calitzdorp.

 

I was due to drive down today for the race next weekend, but I can't get to the house. We had big rain in November, the ground is saturated and this is what the road looks like :

 

The first is taken about 50 m from the Caledonskloof river which is normally dry;

 

The second and third are taken from the same spot. One after the damage of November and the other on Sunday....

 

I am not sure I'll make the ride

I am excited. This is my first Att. I am happy to just finish comfortably.

 

How bad would this race be in the wet? Could it be cold?

 

Big question, wet lube or dry lube??
