I think there are very few bikes that cannot look better by decking them out in a pair of old Shamals. Just look at that Somec! Plain and understated by comparison to some, but she sure turns heads! :thumbup:

have a De Rosa carbon crank arm with a stripped thread that I now know what to do with.

Have a old one like this laying around. Always wondered what I could do with it.....

Ooooh, lovely. CRecord. I think they are the most beautiful cranks ever made. The later Records and the Mavic Starfish come close, but not quite. We have talked about regrets lately, and I am still sorry for not buying that Starfish groupset from you a few years ago.......I never learn......made the same mistake with the recent 10Sp .

Wow, is that gruppo going on a bike, or is it just a display project?

 

(the reason I ask is that I thought the Delta brakes were really crap at stopping the bike - as nice as they look...)

No no no, the way to look at it is like this:

 

They make you go faster, especially on the downhill and around corners. They also teach you commitment and faith.......in rubber and guardian angels!  ;)  :D
