Carbonality put their prices up! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's because of SA supply and demand. Either that or their frames doing well in the TDF

New build - carbon 27.5’er 650B 3k matte black + carbon rigid fork:

Hi folks. Few months of research, sourcing of parts etc. and here she is. Have her just over a month now. Took the time to post some decent pics. Haven't gotten around to replacing the slightly dated saddle yet (gotten-around-to is pronounced ‘cant-afford-to’). Bar and stem position/height still needs adjusting or possibly replaced. 8.5kg wifff pedals.

With a quality suspension fork pretty sure a sub-9kg weight can be maintained. Ordered some decals and ended up preferring the minimal simple look. Size 17". Haven't quite put her through her paces yet and cant comment much on performance but so far she feels sweet. Enjoy.

Carbonality put their prices up! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I see the GAEA is now $29 dollars more...

Ping ping ping rouxtjie.... Maiden Voyage???

Eish what can I say, had a bachelors at the nissan race and decided last minute to rather take my SS since it was going to be a seals ride and almost everyone else was on SS. Also was hanging like a fruitbat yesterday so no chance of riding...just parked on the couch watching tdf, nursing my hangover. I did take her for a spin around the complex a couple of time and I love it...very stiff and responsive, but I knew that was going to be the case due to the geo. Full report coming next monday.

Looks great, nice clean and simple finish.

Can I ask what fork that is and where I get it, etc? Are the fork and frame raw/matt finish.

Thanks for the positive comments so far.

@Rouxtjie, frame is a 3K carbon 27.5”/650B size small 17” matte black from FlyXII (on ebay their store name is a_baygoods). A specific model name or code wasn’t advertised or provided, just a description (3K carbon 27.5”…), can make the buying process tricky. Had good service though.

@Face Plant, funny you mention the long stem :) my bro had the same concern and it was bothering me too. Replaced it yesterday with a shorter one and angled it upwards instead of down. Looks and feels muuuch better and the overall bike fit is now identical to my previous bike and fits me spot on. Anyone have a 110mm, 100mm or even a 90mm carbon Ritchey stem to swap for my carbon Ritchey WCS 120mm?

@BBN, fork is also 3K carbon matte black from FlyXII (for a 27.5”/650B size small 17” frame). Just realized a correction to my initial post is needed: with a quality suspension fork a sub-9kg weight won’t be possible. Carbon rigid fork is 470g. Weight of decent suspension fork would be around +/-1500g. Adding the numbers the total weight would be sub-10kg. Will correct the initial post shortly.

Hi guys

I have been pondering building a nice 29 dual sus. Seems like the FM 036 (D-Fung) is quite popular. Also saw a"Titan" on Carbonal which looks like a potentially very good looking bike...

Are there any specific frames which any of you can recommend and a possible reference to pricing if possible?

Thank you in advance!
