Anybody riding the Sani on a ridgid hardtail have serious respect from me - almost, but not quite, to extend to him washing his bike with certified pure drinking water! The other guy, not!

I'll admit that I was one of them, only difference being that while I was eating at the water table when one of those school kids came to me and offered to wash my bike. I couldn't say no.

i also had my bike hosed off, at the Alcatraz stop on day3

 

the gears on my bike sounded like it was grinding rocks into stones.

I'm going back to using Squirt again after a little boy at one of the stops on day 3 saved my drivetrain by squirting a half litre of the stuff over everything. It worked a charm with all the mud that overcame my usual Rock & Roll!

but if you had oil based...you wouldn't have needed saving....................ok i admit to doing a quick lube at nando's and at the redbull girls on day 3

Rigid Yes, SS No. It's Thor and Karl. They've won the adventure 3 years in a row.

What pic are you referring to? I know the guys that won the adventure last year were on rigids, maybe the same guys again this year? My neighbour came 2nd last year behind them.

woa, we all crossing lines here.

 

I rode the adventure. Was flippen crazy awesome. Took over 200 pics (a little more than last year).

 

At the end of day 2 (on the adventure) we heard that the guys who finished DAY 2 first (not overall), were on rigid single speeds.

 

Gnarly, did Karl and Thor also come in first on day 2?

 

I know when we were registering we perved at a couple of rigid niners (single speeds) on the back of a car so I may well be getting my lines crossed.
