PPC Kremetart one day stage Race 8th June (MTB 9th June)

We were told that the race was the best cycling event of the year, so we entered for something different and the vibe. The more I hear about it the more I look forward to it.

A question for those of you who have done the first hill before, on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is it?

Trying to prepare myself for it in advance.

 

You start the race and have about 2km to sort yourself out. From there the stats looks as follows:

Done 10 long ones and about 3 short 70km race when I was still a youngster.

And I will always return if I am able.......awesome race!

Lovely downhill section through the two tunnels after that first 'bump'.

I hit some real good speeds going down to the left turn last year:)

 

The wind caused some havoc with the deep section riders and some of us with bladed spokes... auto lane change at 60km/h+ is not as much fun as what some will think.

You have a tent? Book a spot at the Caravan park.

Right next to the Start / Finish Area, and you can walk to the party afterwards.

Been down with an injury since just after the Panorama so not sure if I'm going to hit the first hill guns blazing or rather have a social fun day out... Looking forward to it either way.
