My Toy ... now with a Reverb dropper post

Nice!!!

Heard some guys in the states are short shocking there rear shock (i.e. putting in a 165mm instead of the 190mm) and really digging it.

Keeping my eye open for a frame to build up

I am going to put my Elixir CR's on the Trance. The standard Elixir 3's are not great...

Got Elixir 3's and 7s at the moment, no complaints

What is the price of a complete Reign 1?

I ordered this beast in January this year - its taken 4 months to get here as Giant had to make a whole batch of them. I paid a bit under R25k - plus pedals and tubeless conversion it came to about R26 200. I recon the price will have gone up if you buy one now though...

Not bad at all. I see they are listed as R29000 +- on some sites.

Eish. I searched high and low for a chain guide to fit the 2012 Reign. Do you have a link? You mean a clamp like this one? That clamps around the BB and has ISCG05 mounting holes?http://p.vitalmtb.com/photos/users/2/photos/42835/s780_clutch1.jpg?1348184561edit: Found it on their crackbook page

Surely you can find the old ones like these, must be sizing, normal BB.

Way less damage to your BB as it sitting on the alu edge as opposed to crunching it.

2Nutz, am I missing something? I can find lots of those, have one of those on my current 2007 Reign that holds an e.thirteen guide in place. The 2007 Reign has an external threaded BB. So to fit one of your pictured adapters, you unscrew the drive side, pop the adapter over the BB, and screw the drive side of the BB back on. Position your ICSG mounted chain guide, three screws and you're done.

The problem with the 2010-2012 Giant Reign (and other bikes I'm not sure of) is that it uses an internal, press-fit BB. It does not have ISCG mounting tabs, and the BB sits entirely inside the frame's drive 'tube' (for lack of a better word). There is nothing to hold your adapter in place, you can put it on, but you can't tighten it since there is no screw-on BB part. Am I explaining this even remotely well?

Sorry if I'm just being thick here

The one I have, used it for my Trek Fuel, but didnt like the frame, so sold it again and I still have the guide and fitting. Csixx has a website and distributed by Cycleafrica

The one I have, specific for pressfit and no iscg mounts.(Still up for sale, just havent got round to posting)
