Play in those pivots mean the RD is on its way out. The duk duk duk could be from the RD not shifting to exactly the position it should ( because of play) and this causing interference between chain and shift ramps. It can also be worn RD pulleys. If the pulleys are getting derailed then this also a sign of worn teeth and pulley bearings

I'd eliminate the shifting part cz I know the duk-duk-duk sound from incorrectly shifting.

The pulleys are definitely worn.. and I think bearings are also almost done or they are done.

Basically from what you saying.. sounds like RD is about to be finished.

Worn teeth.. I noticed that the teeth on the cassette sprockets has developed a ridge...

The pulleys are cheap, maybe replace them and if the problem persists then replace the derailleur. You will then have a spare set of pulleys at least.

Top and bottom RD pulleys are often different on modern RDs and may even be directional ( e.g. Shimano top pulleys). If installed incorrectly or the bearings worn they may not wrap the chain correctly around the cassette leading to noises and derailment. B screw adjustmemt can also play a role. These are things to check if you recently adjusted or reassembled the RD

From this angle your chain length seems too long or turn in the B screw.

Take the chain off and check if it isn't twisted as this could also be the culprit to it not mating correctly with your cassette hence the sound you are getting under load

If the pulleys are worn then yes replace those as per all the other responses you got.

And she is finally done. Just heavy as hell with the Intense 26x2.5 tyres front and rear. Need to put tires in the dirt this weekend
