KingTJ Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 KingTJ, the Nomad is fine at Giba ... it climbs exceptionally well for its geometry. You are not going to be racing up the hills there so if you can find a good deal then its worth it. At our level of riding the Nomad vs Bronson will feel very similar. But the Nomad may give you a bit more confidence to hit some of the bigger stiff at Giba. If I go down this weekend and i see you you are welcome to take my bike for a spin to see how it feels.Thanks Nigel, much appreciated.

I have the GC and purg up front on my other wheelset, so wanted to try this combo on the loose stuff and many small rocks that Hakahana (local riding spot in Gauteng) has to offer. When i ride longer distances and hardpack i'm planning on changing back ,which isnt all that often though. Apparently the new purg rolls pretty well too, so will find out this weekend : )

droenn Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Yeah, so much fun! Its a bike that really encourages you to lean and push through berms and then pop off any thing you can find. I'm not a skilled rider by any means, but it is giving me a lot of confidence on the downs. On the ups... well, its not for racing uphill. You just put it in granny and wind your way up slowly and chat to your mates, or take in the sights. But that totally suits me, it gets the job done to get to the trail head, but its not an all rounder in that respect.
