Hairy Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I've never been a big fan of Stans wheels - feels a bit like the VW Polo of the cycling world (reasonably priced, they work relatively well, and everyone has them). So far I'm considering Hope Tech EnduroE13 TRS+DT Swiss EX 471 (sound good but look like they might be a challenge to find)Just rip the Stans Decals off then, or have your own made ?

Slow to accelerate which is probably due to the wide rim and WT 2.5 Minion combo, definitely a gravity bike. Set up is plush and it sticks to the ground, covers up my (many) mistakes well. Needs the 30/46 ratio to winch it uphill. Even with quite a bit of carbon and Ti it's in the mid 13kg range. Di2 is nice. Biggest issue with this frame is the slight kink in the seat tube which makes a 150mm dropper stick out too far. Di2 M8050 // 170mm Lyric // Ibis 742 carbon rims 35mm internal width // Magura Trail Carbon brakes // Renthal Fatbar Carbon and Renthal stem // 30t Fifty-Fifty NW chainring // 11~46 Sunrace cassete // Fox Transfer
