My crystal ball see's a lot of physical and emotional pain in your future

I know. Hence the need for proper brakes :P

The bike is mostly going to be a commuter with some spirited rides on the local trails.

Patches knew I was in town. The something or other red is delicious btw.

was? or am?

patches only shares his tool box with me, not his info on social gatherings..

You are more than welcome to join for beer. Im at JIMS - lots of free German beer at the Merc stand!

Free coffee and tea going down 1 Nov at my wifes house market. Red velvet cupcakes and homemade brownies to be had! Come one, come all!

I am planning to make a trip to JIMS either tomorrow or Sunday.

And you have my attention with the cupcakes and brownies too

Good things come in threes :)

Let's start with the bike

Ibis Mojo HDR. Best damn bike in the history of the universe. Bought it in 650b guise with the option to flip it to 26" and 160mm! Still need to decide (then source and buy) on wheels, Hope brakeset on it's way to CT & waiting for X01 cassette. Can't get Spank I want locally and CRC doeant have stock! Need to decide what to do there then pull the trigger so the bike can get ridden!

Poverty spec getting an upgrade tonight to the Saint bits I have.

Fork getting changed to a Talas

Then I need some decent brakes for it.

Before anybody says it's a jump bike... It is actually an AM with a slack HA and a 130mm fork.

69deg HA... about the same as a Giant STM jump bike  :whistling:

Was. Besides. You don't want to see me. All I talk about is Morzine. My wife has banned the F word in our house. I'm talking about the country.

Lots to see at the show. Stumbled upon a cool alternative to PlastiDip. Plenty (wild) color options.

If you're in CT then pop in. We can chat bikes over a cupcake! Or boerie! Then go ride some "secret spot" trails up the road.

The only thing that's secret about Majik Forest is that you don't HAVE to drag your brakes through, into and over all corners, berms and "obstacles".
