jamiecanter Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'll only rate Froome if he is able to do the Tour de France, Sub 3 Argus double Nimby 1
GrumpyOldGuy Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 "Froome goes in as red-hot favorite to win the Tour and possibly the only guy that could have beaten him would have been Bradley." Sutton, Sky's Team Principal Hmm, sounds a bit rich to me,............ says who.? Oh, Yeah, Mr Sutton, his team principle, makes sense.! I guess the other 5 odd red hot favorites dont count then.?

dracs Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 i see Leipheimers name there? wasnt he bombed in light of Lances confession?no he got the same soft-cock suspension in the off season the rest of them got.
Eugene Oppelt Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 POLL FOR YELLOW I replaced Wiggo with Andy Schleck.
Eugene Oppelt Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Moer! I see Schleckie received 4 votes already. Gummi', you can only vote once now, eh? urbanroyal 1
jcza Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 i see Leipheimers name there? wasnt he bombed in light of Lances confession? I thought he retired?
dracs Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I thought he retired?Ja I think you are correct actually...
Eugene Oppelt Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 I thought he retired? Just recently.Very low-key announcement.
urbanroyal Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 At the 200 / 1 odds on Uran...I"ll put a grand on him....you never know...
T-Bob Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Robert Millar throws it out there about the 'real' reason Twiggy isn't going to play at the tour. http://www.cyclingnews.com/blogs/robert-millar/tales-from-the-underground-the-honeymoon-is-over-for-sky-and-wiggins
SwissVan Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Robert Millar throws it out there about the 'real' reason Twiggy isn't going to play at the tour. http://www.cyclingne...sky-and-wiggins Hmm seems like there is not much love lost there....touch of sarcasm with Millars comments "The can't train reason might have been valid if he hadn't been doing four-hour rides, trying to hit the required numbers. As anyone who has experienced that kind of pain will tell you can't ride even 30 minutes under any kind of effort with a knee injury so four hours, really?" "This season hasn't been a patch on 2012 for Wiggins and it seems that despite following head coach Tim Kerrison's menu for success like he did previously, this time around he hasn't been hitting the numbers and the results haven't been there. Cue head falling off and the onset of unhappiness"
dracs Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Robert Millar throws it out there about the 'real' reason Twiggy isn't going to play at the tour. http://www.cyclingne...sky-and-wigginssounds pretty speculative to me - but who knows!

Cue head falling off and the onset of unhappiness" For sure, you've got to love RM though as everyone else pussy foots around being all diplomatic about it. Read a great article from him last year on the problems Sky were going to face when they did the whole 'did you dope' interviews. His theory was that they should have been a bit more like Garmin in working with reformed riders and staff rather than cutting them off wholesale. Seems a lot of what was written is coming true over at the Sky camp now with a lot of new back room staff, rider management, too many chiefs etc...
Eugene Oppelt Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 sounds pretty speculative to me - but who knows! I reckon Wiggo is not as motivated and hungry after reaching so many milestones in his career.Self-fulfilled. Complete. Done. Finito. T-Bob 1
