Tumbleweed Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Thinking about this a bit more: we do have all the Brits to thank. After all if they hadn't made Murdock stonking rich by supporting all his trash tabloids over the years, we wouldn't have Team Sky init? I wonder if they've been hacking Chris and Michelle's phone during the Tour? slowpoke 1
nochain Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Nice article on Froome!http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/cycling/tour-de-france/10191962/Tour-de-France-2013-Chris-Froome-fits-the-bill-as-cycling-seeks-a-new-hero.html
nochain Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 How I wish Froome would take part and give Nibali a good spanking.Froome will be dead tired after this tour...he started winning in Febr and has dominated almost all the tours he entered. He had to fight very hard for this win so I think if he decides to ride he will not be able to match Nibali , but I think he will now take a well deserved rest! Think Nibali is going to have a easy ride in the Vuelta because all the top guys are smashed after this tour.....
kosmonooit Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Don't think Chris or any of the TdF team will do the Vuelta, maybe they are going to let the Colombians do their thing, Brad still licking his wounds apparently.

Tumbleweed Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Okay, straw poll... how many Tours will Froome win?
Chro Mo Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Okay, straw poll... how many Tours will Froome win?Two definitely, three max.
nochain Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Okay, straw poll... how many Tours will Froome win?I think he will win at least 3 , not sure about in a row but he should be good for at least 6 years still.Really hope he defends next year and then go on to try and win the other 2 grand tours...would love to see him do a Giro/Vuelta one year.At the very least he should go back to the Vuelta because that is the race that started it all for him.

Daideron Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 So are we taking bets as to which teams deck their bikes and riders out with flashing lights? Will SKY use yellowy spoke lights? It would be priceless if they all used flashing rear lights!!
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Speaking of Cavendish, he's got this finale dialed in! Four straight wins on the final Tour de France stage, can he do it again? The circle around the Arc du Triomphe will change up the finish, making it a bit faster than the normal 180-turn.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 There are two categorized climbs today, the first at 29.5km with the Côte de Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and then at km. 33.5, the Côte de Châteaufort, which is also the site of the Jacques Anquetil memorial.

Eugene Oppelt Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 The riders have to make their way from the start in Versailles today - they are currently in the neutral start - and into Paris, where they will have 10 laps of a new circuit which goes all the way around the Arc du Triomphe rather than flip a 180 in front of it.
