Two new shows that seem worthwhile:

Colony

Second Chance

Colony - Slept through the first episode, thought it nothing to get excited about

Second Chance - Seen the first episode, and it shows a lot of potential to become stale.

In addition to that

The Expanse - Seen 4 episodes, it seems like just another Sci-Fi series, but I'll watch it

The Shanarra Chronicles - Not seen yet, but is it going to try to be another Lord of the Rings?

Childhood's End - Only 3 episodes in total, doomsday-ish, but not fire and brimstone

Check out the 3 part mini-series, And Then There Were None - based on an Agatha Christie novel.

Storyline

It's 1939 and Europe teeters on the brink of war. Ten strangers are invited to Indian Island, an isolated rock near the Devon coast in southern England. Cut off from the mainland, with their generous hosts Mr and Mrs U.N. Owen mysteriously absent, they are each accused of a terrible crime. As each member of the party starts to die one by one, the survivors realize that one of them is a killer and start to turn on each other. Written by BBC

If you enjoy suspense, then you'll find 24 has a lot. I enjoyed most of the series'

Making a murderer.

Insanely good TV - its got a lot of hype and implications right now (just do a google news search for it).

I've got 2 episodes to go. I've been so angry, depressed and shocked by this documentary series.

I can't help but be skeptical though, since its a documentary that is really trying to argue the position of the defence - but overall this is a strong condemnation of law enforcement and the judicial system in small town USA.

Shannara series is a collection of books, whilst much like LOTR, has a very large following all of its own. Sword of Shannara etc. Interested in this, though I hope it doesn't turn into another "Legend of the Seeker" which was a total crock of shaie, not like the books at all. Characters were Waaaaaaaay off. Hope it's more like Game of Thrones in the way it kept to the books.

As for Expanse - looks good so far. Universe development looks pretty strong so far (different dialects and so on, as well as the different physical characteristics of each "race")

Childhood's end - will look at it.

Colony - seems okay-ish. Will give it a shot.

2nd chance - as above.
