I think Endura make the best value baggies. R600 for the Humvees at my LBS. I haven't used their liner though, since I just wear my really old bibs underneath.

Dude, where is my new lbs?

Endura Hummvee shorts, they don't sag at the back like some of the others.

They are also pretty strong as I have had a few lay downs and shorts are still perfect.

So why the problem with lycra???

No pockets!

I just picked up pair of Fox camo baggies, very light with lycra inner on my travels, now for some 'dale ones!

I dont care what they think about me in my lycra, it's alright, they will get it one day!

One day you will fall and your lycra will protect just as much as a paper bag would.

Good luck with that.

My favourite is Endura Singletrack shorts with a bib underneath.

Best of both worlds, and a small fall/slide does not cost you R1000.

I like to push the limits of my skill comfort zone on every ride, which is why I enjoy the extra security of baggies.

Price?

Do they have built-in or removable padding liners?

I think I paid R700 each. yes they come with removeable padded liners. very comfy.

I even wear my baggies casually. I'm that guy.
