That's why I like dealing in person.

Sold my fork to a hubber that's been here for 3 years but hasn't posted. Met, paid and exchanged. Took 5 minutes.

Previously sold my XX brakes to a guy in PTA. He paid, I sent the next monday (all the time sending updates and then a tracking number cos my lightie was sick at the time)

Then before that sold my road bike to a guy in Durbanville. He wanted it, i took it to him to test ride, he couldn't take it then so he deposited money later that week and I dropped it off with him.

It's not hard to keep a handle on things, sellers. How would you like to be treated?

To add to your very practical guide, perhaps a SNC ala BidorBuy style should be added to the sellers ratings, so future adverts are immediately flagged and you know what and who you're dealing with.

Without a valid reason for giving a buyer the run-around, BLACKLIST!

I sold something once and the guy gave me a great review, on my profile I only checked it by accident the other day there is a feature for it, but I think you need to look for it,

Guest Travis.

Lets hope this is a lesson to all the others out there.

AND that people will have the balls to name and shame from now on.

I think you waited a fair amount of time there Wyatt - 2 weeks is unacceptable.

crazy times we living in,,in my dads times BIG BUISNESS was done on a hand shake, imagine we lived in the days where your word actually was worth anything

Yeah, early on in my time as well and often we undertook big jobs on a meeting over coffee and a handshake.

Of course its all changed now and over the last few years you needed three accountants to check every tender, go through a supplier due diligence process, undertake to sign a 200 page confidentiality agreement, have two specialist contract attorneys check and double check every detail, submit a audited financial assessment to ensure you can undertake the job and then, if you are very lucky, you may get it.

Really makes life difficult indeed.

..........but yah, sorry to hear Wyatt, times sure have changed.

I still think there has to be another layer of transparency when you want to become a seller and buyer, for example, all the information has to be included in your profile and you have to include a picture. I don't like "not telling" or "unkown".

Sounds like job creation, albeit on the expensive side

Quite right it's there, but if Dangle didn't complain, none of us would've known...

The SNC file should be created by a disgruntled buyer or seller and Admin/Sales Admin should add it for the protection of all involved, then you can hit the SNC button, which would blacklist you till such time as it is resolved

As I said, I am quite patient and I also purposely did not include the OP's name in the thread title.

I dealt with him on some glasses and had no problems...paid and received a tracking number same day, don't think it is fair to take a snap shot. Not saying his communication was acceptable, just sometimes life throws us a lemon!

What snap shot, he pm'd me earlier today asking for my postal address again.

I sent it to him, still have not heard from him.

He purposely avoided my previous e-mails except when I sent confirmation of payment 2WEEKS ago he sent me an mail saying they will be sent off tomorrow and he will send me the tracking number.

2 weeks taking a "pot shot" or "snap shot" as you call it ?

The seller has zero to less than zero scruples.
