Just like with cars, watches etc etc. it's all about how much you're willing to spend and if you have your thinking cap on: how much value you see in it. Yeah but u missing the point here! He wanted the 70k bike for 2k.

With Bicycles the money buys bling that moves at the same speed as before. I think lots of folks are convinced that spending more would buy a sub 3 Argus, a place on the podium etc.

Active Monkey Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 My expensive car i ever owned is my current chev utilitu 1.4 ac.I refuse to fall for owning a expensive car. I do around 15000 km a year and a car( bakkie ) is there to get me from point a to point b and carry my bike to where it needs to be. My wife has a bit better car purely for space and safety for our baby. She has a polo sedan.Paying 5000 or 10000 a month on a car is insane! As for a bike, my spark 950 comes in at just over 20k, and yes if i had cash i would by a 60k bike..
