the first one I drove was a bright orange ST in Cape Town that had a cold air induction kit installed. It made some lovely noises.

When my dad converted from big cars to VW we must have had every model bar this one till he got into Valiant mode.When I settle back in the Cape I am going to buy a beach car.Prob be an old Combi so if you know a good clean 2001 2.6i I would be interested

We had a light blue 73' VW 411 Variant (station wagon)  ....

 

I remember the trips down to Durban, fully laden, with 5 kids and luggage ...  and my mom's driving that would scare even Sarel van der Merwe .... she was a proper petrol-head.

Thanx krans. I must know at least 4 guys with that name. Its been a while since I surfed that spot. Its actually my home break. About 10 minutes from my house. The problem is they keep breaking into everyone's car there. Great photo.
