A bit different from showing a brake set with rotors and then not including them. Not as obvious as laces, which is evident from the three pages of different opinion on this thread.

Most unhelpful, which I suppose is why they say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

A pun, on the other hand, according to Ambrose Pierce, is a "form of wit to which wise men stoop and fools aspire".

which is why it is used often on the hub - got to match your wit to the audience. Edited by MTBeer

mmmm both at fault here imo

evo for advertising the rotors(in the pic)...even though most people know rotors are separate items in the context of a "brakeset", and the OP for assuming they are included even though they weren't listed in the description. Naas did the right thing by offering refund or rotors at cost...don't think one can expect him to do more.

Naas I really suggest adding a note to all the brakeset that rotors are not included

Correct, and frankly the offer for rotors might even have been above and beyond.

The description if misleading as well...

Weight 415g (160mm Rotor; front post mount)

1) A product shouldn't include specs and descriptions for parts that isn't even part of the product if you ask me.

2) Regarding Janos' mail where he says " If you look at any of our other disc brake sets for sale you will also see that no disc brake sets are sold with rotors unless it states “rotors included”, I don't really agree with that. What he said might be true, but you can't expect someone who wants Product X, to first read the descriptions for Products A through W to check what's included or not?

3) The brakes is listed under "Complete Disc Brakesets", which in my mind tells me its everything I need to slow my bike down. So that's misleading as well.

Apart from that I have had good service from Evobikes.

Hope everyone turns out happy at the end.

The OP could have asked if rotors were included - seeing as he did phone them... surely if he was expecting a complete brake set he would have wanted to specify at least the size and type (6 bolt/centerlock) of rotors if he thought they were included? Even CRC make you specify that in their sets that are 'complete'

I must say I have only had great service from Naas and his team - they even swapped out a saddle and sent me the replacement before I had returned the previous one - can't ask for better service than that.

If you look on the site at "Complete Disc Brakesets" the avids are the only set pictured with rotor. I was also looking at brakesets earlier this week on EVO bike and was a little confused as to what is all included. The product pages just need a little more clarity, as simple as *no rotors included.

But thumbs up naas to your offering a full refund and even better, the rotors at cost!

I think he should return those brakes and get some Shimanos!

Usually these threads are on a Monday... LOL

Hope you guys get it sorted...also had a few mails and phonecalls to EVO and Naas was always "down to the point" and had all the details correct...sorry this had to end up on the HUB :whistling: looks like it could have been sorted without any "sour-grapes"...

Also agree that ONLINE shops could make sure that the small print and details on each product are correct  just to make sure these things don't pop-up again...

Thx for the feedback

Currently busy editing all the BRAKESETS to say NO ROTORS OR ADAPTORS INCLUDED.

SRAM (Avid) only had those pics available as marketing jpegs. but I will search for some that shows no rotors.

Good for you!

Like with the Barbie adds "Dolls and figurines sold separately"

Hey, I would have gone with " Batteries not included " as an example ... but if that Barbie thing works for you then why not ... :D :D
