NICE WORK!!!!!!

Was pretty sure it was the same bike as Peter Ottl, so just looked for his team mate in 1995 through some results pages from the time, they both rode for the Marlboro Aprilia Team, saw his number 15 on the results sheet, quick google of his name...

 

Edit: Can say one thing, I did bugger all work this afternoon but learned a hell of a lot about mid 90s 125 Grand Prix racing :P

Didn't Guintoli podium this weekend on the PATA Honda? Maybe not that bad, although getting a bit long in the tooth.

Only got the ride because Guintoli is going to be riding a Factory R1 in WSBK next year.

Interesting that he is back at Honda after such a long association with Ducati.

As for the Honda Fireblade, it was in the damp, where Guinters is phenomenally good. The bike is not good enough, Johnny Rea had to ride the wheels off that thing to get it on the podium, look what he's done on the Kwak this season. Meanwhile, last year's champion scored one podium on the Honda the entire season, ONE!

 

C'mon Honda! And Suzuki for that matter.

As for the Honda Fireblade, it was in the damp, where Guinters is phenomenally good. The bike is not good enough, Johnny Rea had to ride the wheels off that thing to get it on the podium, look what he's done on the Kwak this season. Meanwhile, last year's champion scored one podium on the Honda the entire season, ONE!

 

C'mon Honda! And Suzuki for that matter.

 

Wait for the Factory Yamaha R1M's next year.

They already tasted success in the Superstock 1000. First Win this past weekend. :thumbup:

The WSBK bikes are so far from the homologation models, that these "special" often mean little at the end of the day in WSBK. They work in Superstock, but not always in class... Would be cool for Yamaha to smash a title though :)

It's a full factory effort though, and Guintoli is bringing Pata as title sponsor along. Crescent run a really good race team too. They're going to be competitive from the word go.

 

Kawasaki are also bringing a new machine for 2016. Should be interesting! But apparently the four cylinder Ducati is dead. Would have been interesting to have another V4 on the grid. If the current Panigale was allowed to breathe properly it would have killed everything on the grid (yes it has a fair amount of extra cc's, but we've not been exposed to the full force of that oversquare twin).

 

I'm excited!

Yeah Crescent run a tight ship, think that R1 will win some races at the very least.

 

As for Suzuki, they did win the endurance world championship.

And they did bring a new colour scheme this year, what more do you want from them!!!! :thumbdown:  :thumbup:

Well they won it 8 times in the last 10 years, just says they're really good at going at 95% for long periods of time. SERT is an incredible racing organisation.

 

Heck, talking about the Yamaha, Sheridan Morais races for the YART Yamaha Team in EWC, clocked 346kph at Paul Ricard at the last event. That is frighteningly fast!
