Please a choice of cold drinks offered to you at the end, like Coke, Powerade. Last thing I want is an energy drink, but I guess its about the sponsors ....

Good grief, you are starting to sound like you would want a LazyBoy in an air-conditioned gazebo next.

Holy smack peeps, how much are we gonna start demanding.

All else fails, I find the nearest shebeen or NBS and I get a Milk Stout quart.

Maybe they can have an option when you buy the entry: I don't mind paying an extra R10 or whatever upfront, but missioning about for a Coke just after finishing, I couldn't be bothered since I always have to get going. Then if you stop en-route and buy one from the local café, it inevitably klunks of russian and chips with every swig.

Also there seems to be a tendency to have a kinda water point at the end, with cups of warm diluted Energade only on offer. And some sif sponsors drinks.

Big road events like 94.7 and Argus always give you a lekka mega cold Coke or Energade, don't tell me Adventurance doesn't have the budget at 3000 x R150+ ? ? ?

First, Powerade is an energy drink....

Second, pack a freaking cooler if you don't like to walk to a drinks tent or stand in a queue.

And lastly, please stop making stupid posts regarding the technical, race briefings, drinks, suggestions, advice, this, that, etc etc. The race is great as is and nothing is ever going to be good enough for you.

All you do flippen moan...

Nothing about tough guy mentioned anywhere, I stated simple facts but if you are offended, clearly the shoe fits....

I wasnt the only one who rode it, must your mommy remind you to roll up your sleevies so you dont get foodies on them?

Whats the okes on TDF got to do with my comment?

If you want to ride the easy race, ride the shorter distances, dont take on the big one and then whine about it because its too hard or too rocky.

I was not posting a reply to your post. But hey mommy is calling. Need to get to bed. Lots of practice to ride rocks this weekend. I need all my sleep.

Thanks for the complement!

But here's a titbit for you, maybe you still learning so try take this in as constructive feedback: Powerade is a 'sports' drink - energy drinks generally have caffeine and other stimulants in them. Not great for thirst quenching at the end of long hot day.

In this case it's water, colouring, flavourings and crap loads of sugar.

And very refreshing ... like a Coke.

Rooibos tea is also great when you are thirsty, guess that would be too much to ask though.
