Don't let shebeen's comment upset you. He is obviously jealous of the owner of "The Epic" and he has never done it and doesn't have the stamina for a real stage race. Lots of people have also done the "tour de France" but they don't just call themselves numbers. I have done "The Epic" twice and it is tough.

Listen to what people who have ridden it say and do a little research into it. I wish I was doing it next year. I can't afford it. It is a very special race. There will always be jealousy out there. It is rotten. Enjoy the race and have lots of fun. If I see your hotdog stand I will surely support you. Good luck.

agree, his post smacks of suurtietness

Enjoy it ou Bees. It's a great (dare I say, life changing) experience. It was for me anyway. Just don't underestimate the race. "Fear the Epic"... it will keep you going on those training days when it feels like you left your legs at home.

I personally think we can put it down to him weighing 58.3 Kg the reason for him being quicker.

Make sure you get the money in time, despite some comments here it is one of the best experiences I have ever had. For me it was worth every cent and that is why I will be there again next year.

My motto in preparing and racing Epic is the following: the moment I stop enjoying the training, I will quit. Don't take it to serious, but train hard, it is tough. Enjoy everything from the training to the actual race itself.

I have never done the freedom challenge. Why do you ask?

Unless you know Shebeen personally, and your comment was tongue in cheek, making comments about his riding stamina ability for stage racing and such like is silly. He has done enough stage racing to know what he is talking about.

Does not mean he might not be jealous though, hey Shebeen, Jean pant 'an all.
