They pick up your start group where you actually started in somehow...

Thus me saying, true time is mat to mat and someone who missed sub 3 by 13 seconds is being dealt an injustice.

If it is gun to mat, please consider changing it to mat to mat, to take away the incentive to push in to the front at the start.

The problem with mat to mat is the riders sprinting first across the line in each category may not be the actual winner!

Yip, cause previous years if I dropped back a bunch or two to ride with a mate my times would be buggered. Yesterday they picked up that I dropped back.

Yes indeed, as mentioned I did a 3:00:14

So maybe do gun to mat for elites & vets, and mat to mat for all open seeded.

Well, they do have all the data and it is a matter of how to display it. I think to be fair, there should be two categories, one actual time (mat to mat) and one group time (gun to mat).

I did a 3:00:05. According to them.

And I am sure that mat to mat will make a difference for you guys.

It took us 40 seconds to cross the first mat.

And here's the thing: I started with the initial load and sprinted by bum off to stay on the start line with every start group shift forward. Every time I got to the front, there were more and more riders from the same group who slipped through to the starting groups in front and fell back until our group came up. They should change the rules: If you miss your load you load only in the next available load, no loading passed the current loading group. Simple?

Couldn't agree more.
