Wow... What are the chances...

That road is very busy, and that particular intersection can be quite hairy!! Plenty of motor vehicle accidents there.

That road looks like a nightmare with all those trucks!

This picture was taken from my GoPro Hero 3 camera while on my afternoon ride. It was only when I viewed the material that this impromptu self portrait became evident. Taken on the corner of Carnival Mall in Benoni.

Daai bleek bene en arms.....Must have been a long winter and dark winter..... :whistling:

Looks like mine and its summer here :cursing:

Why the gopro on your road bike, using it for evidence if motorists make *** with you?

I actually run two cameras. One facing forward and one backward. Here is the picture from the back camera. The vendor's shadow is visible but, of course, it is not as impressive as the front view. Sometimes you get lucky. (For those wanting to know why I was not inside the yellow line, this should explain it.)

This is a very busy intersection (actually more towards Brakpan) and the trucks have caused the tar to form "trenches" in the lefthand lane (far lefthand lane is a turning lane) which can be quite tricky if you want to change lanes quickly.

Very cool picture! Some say I am slow off the mark with certain trends or topics, but as mentioned, you are using the GoPro in the event that you need evidence should you encounter a problem? Personally, I think that is brilliant! Honestly I am wishing I had thought of that!

I sincerely hope you never have to use your footage for anything other than self reflection, or to prove you really did drop Daryl Impey! Stay safe and thanks for the innovative idea!

Here's my take on something similar...unfortunately not a GoPro but I had to stop for this cell cam pic.

it was quite late afternoon...in Stellenbosch. Steep uphill and this gave a perfect excuse to stop and catch my breath!!
