And I was thinking about converting this morning to 1 x 10 and now I am in doubt, again!!

I converted 1x10 two weeks ago with a 32T and 11-36 cassette and can honestly say its not that bad at all, I did the crazy climbing mudfest Gravel Travel 68km this past saturday and didnt feel any lack on either side of the spectrum, sufficient speed on the flats and enough gears on the climbs

Hi Guys

Any get the OneUp conversion? If you did, did you take the free shipping? How long did it take to arrive?

Just took the plunge on the OneUp 42t conversion with 16t replacement and a 32t NW from superstar!!!

Took standard shipping on both, I know when to expect my order from SuperStar as I've ordered from them before with no problems  Just curious about OneUp and their free delivery

I don't know about their oneup rings but I also used the free delivery and my stuff was here within a week.
  • 2 weeks later...

I've been looking into conveting my hartail to 1x10 so this is very informative. Was toying with the idea of

going 30 tooth up front, what are you running ? I was thinking that with an 11-36 cassette that should be adequate for the trails down here.

I run the 1 x 11-36 setup. When climbing gradients 8 % or more you tend to feel it in the legs but manageable. My legs have become stronger and it cost me all of a grand for a wolf to nw from evobikes oh ja and a shortened chain.....

This is my setup, not great pics, sorry.

32T Lee daisy 1x10 specific front ring, 11-36 cassette.

SRAM type 2 RD.

I have had numerous chain drops of late, thats why I am running the Cguide. Think it might be the chains lateral movement, will be replacing it to see if it works.

Oh friendly warning, tightened the RD to try and stop the drops. Went to far and ended up snapping a hanger, was worsened by the mud I rode in but just be careful. Also I have heard that the SRAM type 2 dreailleurs tighten up over time and may need to be loosened periodically. Not sure how true this is though.
