Kranswurm Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Sorry for the uninformed question here, but hence the question (to learn more), What is this part, where does it go and what does it do? http://www.sram.com/rockshox/products/reverb-stealth#specs Apparently the best dropper post available ....cough at the cost

Kranswurm Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 \\and yet still 2/3rds the price of a FOX DOSS and a LEV... Really!Did not know Fox did one.Aware that the Kronolog is problematicI find this whole post most informative and could lead to my venturing into 27.5....with dropper post of course

And as usual with Fox, it's DRASTICALLY over-priced. Just because it's Fox. Seriously - the best on the market are the Rock Shox & KS (Kind Shock) offerings. No need to go for anything else. Tried, tested, bombproof.

Iwan Kemp Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Sorry for the uninformed question here, but hence the question (to learn more), What is this part, where does it go and what does it do?A dropper post is a seatpost than can be dropped on the fly. There are several options available today. Most of them quite good and reliable by now. Original dropper that used a handlebar mounted remote have the cable running along one of the tubes much like your usual cable or hydraulic housing. But RockShox pioneered a Stealth dropper post that used internal cable routing 1. Keeps things neat2. Most importantly gets rid of "the loop"when you drop your seat which in turn gets rid of cable rub of the seat and its cable moving up and down Really!Did not know Fox did one.Aware that the Kronolog is problematicI find this whole post most informative and could lead to my venturing into 27.5....with dropper post of coursehttp://www.thehubsa....are-hotting-up/ Yeah. Iwan Kemp Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Victor's own bike. Love the black Revelation (spaced to 120mm) and the custom brake levers.

(Deon) Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 So what can you compare it to? Have you worked out what type of suspension/linkage it uses yet? Would be interesting to know since Pat had just come off the split pivot project..
