bradwentzel Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I have never found CycleLab Fourways particularly inviting. Whenever collecting race numbers I do have a walk around but there is something about the way the store is laid out and merchandised that just is not enticing. Hopefully the new store will give them an opportunity to change this. Dave, you have no idea what's in store...
flat29 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 @Morecycling....the heart of a LBS is the workshop imo, any plans ito expansion in this area or info around this? Just this weekend I took my bike into cyclist's workshop(my lbs), top top top class service, great prices and awesome mechanics. Just wanted a wheel trued, ended up buying new extra chunky esi's, new brakepads and bled some brakes while I was there...you see what I did? For me the smaller lbs has more charm and character, like cheers, where everybody knows your name. So for me to consider another lbs, it will have to offer value add somewhere and the workshop is probably the place? so you changed them red grips? also like it when the workshop phones you to tell you that you can change the bearings in the bb and dont have to buy a complete new bb. it is that small workshop service and 1 on 1 personal service you get rouxtjie 1
rouxtjie Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 so you changed them red grips? also like it when the workshop phones you to tell you that you can change the bearings in the bb and dont have to buy a complete new bb. it is that small workshop service and 1 on 1 personal service you getYea, the red was hondnaai...and well josh had extra chunky's in black, couldnt resist. I just love his workshop and staff...it feels like a bike shop should. He is doing very well and on saturday even though it was busy as hell at his shop, he made time for me. If I have a problem that is above my paygrade, I go to him.
schizo Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 When you get a free bundled "Golf Magazine" with a popular cycling mag the writing is on the wall... Cycling is growing - golf on the decline.Had no idea what to do with the Golf Mag.. Gave it to my wife's boss who I know still plays

morecycling Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Yes guys as Brad mentions we are taking all of these comments to heart in creating a first class price competitive retail experience. Our new workshop will be state of the art. Bigger than most bike stores at 350m2 and trained by the best. Big things coming. Oh, we will be putting together a proper online offering in the new year as well.
Pants Boy Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Didn't see that one coming...I hope the shop's got free wi-fi rouxtjie, JGR and VicanZA 3
Andyr249 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 We will be investing in upgrading all parts of the PWC park, including a better clubhouse and improved trails. Will there be an increase in entry cost as well?
