Madison Genesis have been riding 953 bikes all year!!

RGM/Richard Sachs have ridden his steel bikes for 20 - plus years.

There remains hope for "real" steel (however small it is...)

It's all a bit romantic in my opinion. There is not doubt that alu and carbon are both better materials for making a bike. I'm just getting old and harking back to days gone by :-)

You are absolutely right, of course.

A few throwbacks are all it will ever be, but nice nonetheless.

I'm busy finishing off a Niner MCR 853 MonsterCross bike. I love steel.

Function before form for racing. Form before function for fun...

If Scott or Cannondale put a Pro team on a steel bike it would be the next big thing.

Now we know people are gullible but c'mon they can't be THAT gullible!

Steel is a fuzzy, awesome, romantic material but I'd be forced to write off humanity if they went back to steel for racing...

Exactly that, and because I suck at racing, I put form as my top priority
