Been with twisters long time!

 

The latest evolution on the 10-speed is worth noting, much better internal mechanism (bearings etc), diffs between X0 and XX is carbon housing and lighter bits, mechanism the same.

 

X0 9-speed still good though, and a lot cheaper.

Just because you can 'grab a handful of gears and shift at once' doesn't mean you should. You can still mess something up especially on upshifts under power which is when most guys do it ..... IMHO of course ????

 

I do ride gripshift on my 1*9 ????

i have gripshifts on several bikes. I recently buit up a bike with all the bits and bobs lying around. I had a set of XX triggers, so I used them. Went out riding yesterday with the "new" bike - no doubt: Gripshift is better/ nicer in every way. Please take note of previous post about muddy hands -I had the same thing happen.

Thanks to those who offered advice. I am enjoying the twist grip. I prefer it to the normal SRAM shifters, I must say. At the same time, I got XO1, 32 by 10/42, and after Attakwas and the Herald pre-ride I have no reason to regret my decision. I walked where almost all others walked and was able to ride where most others rode. The crisp sound of the twist grip shift is a big plus too.

Very much a personal thing, but I do like the Gripshifts, as funds become available it's a definate change on my bike! Trigger shifters, I prefer the action of Shimano. You can use thumb/forefinger or just thumbs for shifting.
