So basically they rode along while Astana had to do all the chasing. Got it. Thanks

Astana weren't really interested in closing them down.. more.. a case of.. let a other team take over defending duties for a bit..

Podium for Spartacus

To write at the at the bottom of his palmares? I wonder if he was instructed to sprint. Team Trek must be a getting a bit desperate for results. With the Schlecks not looking like winning anything, Cancellara was their best chance for a stage win, but here is not a lot of stages left for him to target, except the TT. That is also going to be a tough ask, TT route looks undulating, should advantage riders like Conto.

Nibs and Co kept their powder dry

Looking at Tony Martin's today i wonder if Fabian will even make the TT podium.Hope he is saving himself for the TT and gets a win.

Quite a risky move letting the yellow go, thinking you can take it back tomorrow.

I dont doubt the yellow will switch hands tomorrow, the question is to whom I guess! Gonna be interesting!

With a difficult stage coming up.. letting the yellow go was a good move by them. . Now up to a couple other teams to work and chase a bit and Nibs can follow.

Seems to me that since you don't ever see an OPQ rider with a baseball cap on (we always see them wearing cycling caps), they must have some sort of team policy about it. Personally, I really appreciate that nod to tradition, and I know 'Dale does too.

It would be a serious pity if the traditional cycling cap ('casquette') goes the way of the dinosaur like the merino wool jersey did.

Well done OPQ

I still don't think Martin or Cancella will be on the ITT podium. Not with that parcours. I'm sure Contador will beat them comfortably.
