You're reading it correctly - It usually happens that they enter at the last moment. Nothing out of the ordinary.

While there are some advantages to having a single timing provider, I worry about the negative affects of an outright monopoly.

 

P.S. It is wonderful having a communication channel with someone involved in the running of the race here on thehub. Keep up the good work Gerald!

Out of the 8, I don't recognise any of the names.

Considering SA's are taking place this weekend, a friendly reminder to the teams on Monday may be necessary.

Being cyclists ourselves, we know what happens at other races.

We take the negatives from those races and try to turn them into positives for our race.

Obviously one can't please everyone, but happy cyclists usually come back again the following year.

Pity, yes... for those that want to do both.

With that said, the 4th Sunday of February has been the date of this event for a long time.

We have a limit of 4500 based on the route and for the passed 6 years we've been very close to the limit.
