Think slime went out of fashion in the 90s...

I'll let you know how much sealant I use when I convert mine too tubeless.

Those 29 x 3" took a whole bottle each! I'm sure yours will be similar.

Have only ever put in a maximum of 100ml in my Knard and it's been like that for almost two years (with frequent top-ups).

What rim options do you have for a fatty frame?

Context: have some family 60 plus in age who live in Noordhoek who are looking to get into cycling. Can't think of a better bike for them to cruise on Noordhoek beach, but they have also entered the Argus. Could you run a 29er rim laced to an appropriate hub wearing slicks and use this as the road wheel set on the same frame?? Can't imagine the fat wheels being all that efficient on the road!

Anyone got some info they've found on this perhaps?

Good Q.

First rims were 2x 26ers welded (I think). Profile with fatty tire is about 29. Hubs are scarce I think. I think it would have a funny look though.

Yeah with the appropriate hubs you can run 29er rims on these frame. They actually quite versatile. You can run a 29er + wheel in there as well. The 26er rims with 4.0 tyres is actually larger in diameter than 29er.

With thin wheels it'll look like an oversize bmx probably....
