I think it is a hell of a bike. If I could afford 1 I would definitely ride 1. Bikes are expensive in general. I can't justify paying more than 40K for a bicycle but still both my bikes are more expensive than that. I have been cycling for about 7 years and have learned very soon that when it comes to cycling there is no justification in anything. If you want it and can afford it then buy it. If you can't then move on. No point in bitching about it

Bull manufacturers try every angle in the book to rape us, at that price they should throw in kit,,,,,,,,,,,dips runs away from Wyatt

Only in South Africa.

We are becoming like our government, hands cupped waiting for the handouts.

Agree with Jaco-fiets. No point in arguing/bitching. If you can afford it....buy the bike and spoil yourself. Same goes for cars. If you can afford a Bentley/S-Class/7-Series enjoy the ride, or else buy something you can afford.

My take on it - I love the one piece crank arm & spider. That's pure porn. I also like the way they've managed to do the shock mount point in such a way that it becomes a feature. I also like the parts kit it's shipping with. However - I'm not a fan of the over-sized chainstays and the moulding at the head tube junction, and the way it ties up with the "standard" seat tube. Looks as if someone forgot to take a course in aesthetic design criteria...

But - I'll never own one. As a through and through MTBer, I'd prefer to have the Venge, thanks...

And someone needs to shorten that damn stem. It's throwing the whole bike off ito aesthetics, and if you're riding a stem that long, you're not on the right frame size (for an MTB) imo. Throws off the handling like nothing else...

must say if I was dropping 6 figures on a bike it sure wouldn't be straight out of a box or out of the catalogue, would have to involve something custom.......frame geometry and parts choice......

so much fuss about a 2nd bottle cage and a fanny pack on the down tube......man, their marketing dept. is awesome...... :)

Thinking along the lines of a steel full susser from Mercer bikes... Or his take on Wyatt's Budnitz. That thing is pure porn.

That man can make bikes, would love a custom racer from him.

Don't forget the pie plate behind the cassette...

Always have a bit of a chuckle when I see 20k + bikes out on the trail with pie plates and reflectors.

Budnitz! Oh how one could only dream.

This Hub thing is seriously bad for my health. After two days I'm already doing maths... "if i sell that bike and the other this and that, then i can buy a new bike!"

One day when I'm rich comfortable solvent over trying to justify it I'll get one to add to my collection. After the SS and roadie frames.

Yeah dude. I'd REALLY like to do it myself, but i have to admit defeat and accept that Dave will be orders of magnitude more proficient than me at getting the welding / filleting done...

He's a few years of practice ahead of you there, and with the amount of work he's doing you probably wouldn't catch up in three lifetimes... although it would be cool to ride a frame you'd made yourself...

I'm happy with my current set of bikes.

Can't see myself upgrading anything soon.

Well I guess it is only true until I test ride the next bike. :whistling:
