For R2500, you could get someone to follow you on a dirt bike with all your spares and stuff.

Simple really.

I'll gladly follow you on my Husky, road or mtb, with all the tools, spares, snacks, ice, drinks, sunblock, towel, etc for R2500 a pop. I'll even clean your shades when you get dirt on it ;)

That's the difference R2500 a pop...

Jocklaw who quoted you this price? I thought its only coming out later this year, I'm also looking to get the kit.

I

I paid a quoted amount for the whole bike, built up the way I wanted it. Not sure what the frame was separate. I got the S-works. I just feel after spending that sort of ammo on my dream bike the kit price adds insult to injury!!

10 years ago these gimicks were used as incentive and included.

Nowadays nothing is free. Consider yourself lucky if they throw in a waterbottle when you buy.

ahh.....good old specialized, crazy, my jersey comes with 4 free pockets at the back......

tape a spare tube to your frame......

Expensive but if you bought it separate it would cost you more.Buy the multitool that fits in the frame and a parktool ct6 and you don't need anything else.

You must be joking.

Probably also depends where you buy it, I got 2 awesome bottle cages, upgraded Roval wheels and made tubeless and a couple pairs of Specialized socks all for free. And I didn't even buy the S-Works

Same shop I got my bike from.

I've found saddlebags keep breaking due to the bumps experienced during mountain biking. My last one lasted two months and cost me a phone when it fell off in the rain. And that was a decent quality Lezyne.

So I'm a bit hesitant to recommend a saddlebag for mtb.

Agreed, they just dont last through the rigours of mtb riding/racing. destroyed 2 topeak saddlebags, so given up on that idea.

I guess I wasn't lucky, then! No free water bottle either!
