Well, I can't comment on their general service as an average, only on my experience. Did I just catch them on a bad day?

I'm still in the search for a good bike shop if anyone has any suggestions? Sandton area would be great but I do not mind driving for quality service at all.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with MSC & your injury.

As for quality service - you cant go wrong with Tool-Up Cycles. They are a bit out of your way though.

Dont blame the good herb for humanities lack of skills.. if anything it would have given him the creativity needed to fix the issue.

Agreed. Or he would have forgotten what he was doing and had a sandwich instead.. :w00t:

They have become my LBS of choice of late. Does help that they're just up the road too.

Pusher, I was also thinking that ? ''Has MS bike shop still not responded?''

i am sure this news would have filtered back to Jared by now. Surely ?

As in my 1st post i said i was sure there are 2 sides to the story.

Is this not an opportunity for the bike shop to at least explain how it happened ?Again, thats just poor !

But they will have lost a few clients from this, and even more until they respond....

+1 for Cycloworx in Petervale! I can recommend them. Well run family business with great equipment and facilities.

Also facilitate group rides over the weekends from the centre, both MTB and road.

Went past http://www.cycloworx.co.za/ in Petervale - Dylan did a front and rear shock service.

The Revelation is buttery smooth, service turnaround was quick and his work is guaranteed.

Very happy with my new service shop

What was the app. cost? Need to service my 26 & 29er forks.

Pierre, I used to migrate from one shop to another because of unsatisfactory service (Morningside was one of them). Then I found Summit Cycles in Midrand. I have used them for about three years now, and I have never been disappointed. Give them a try.

That's very cheap from Cycloworx. Might send the ex wife's fork in for a service with them.

The only issue I have here is that they are not being eaten!

It's like eating one of those flambe's as a kid - once the bottom airlock was cracked and emptied into a bowl, i wouldn't wanna break the perfection. </nostalgia>

Eish... I would, just the drive from Fourways to Midrand is not ideal, especially if I drive past cycloworx on the way.

Less Midrand and more Crowthone, just north of Kyalami.

Just do it...
