I am in Durban

Thanks for updating the thread, was more asking when you would be back to update us here!

Did you lay any charges? If the seller is innocent he can explain that to the police and exonerate himself, the police can follow up on what leads he has, otherwise if you leave it then the cycle continues unabated. But ja, fully understand how costly the PI must be and the mission you being so far away.

You think maybe he thought you weren't the "right" buyer for his merchandise?

Maybe you sounded a little too clued up for his means, ie would/did smell a dodgy deal?

Have had that experience on gumtree, you phone up to enquire about an ad and the guy on the phone just doesn't sound like the kind of person whom you would expect to own such an item. Then you phone back 10mins later to make an arrangement to come see it and the item is suddenly sold and the guy can't explain to whom or why.

The Stellenbosch University security said he could not report it to the SAPS because he did not have the serial number of the bike with him. Once we saw the bike advertised on the site, we immediately reported it to out local SAPS in Durban, who then sent the case file to Stellenbosch.

The Stellenbosch detective phoned us and we gave him all the information we had, including the PI's details.

I have not heard anything since.

ADT doing some great work!!

They picked up two bikes in Stellenbosch.

Looking at the Argus actionphoto numbers on the bikes, it seems they belong to Johannes Bosch and Stephanie Stoffberg.

Anyone have contact details for them?

Or they can contact Sean Pigden at ADT 083 260 2521

Another robbery at Schapenberg. That guy definitely comes from the Sir Lowry's Pass village. There is enough evidence to find him and his mates.

They are the reason that we are not riding there anymore.
