Hi guys, i am looking at converting my wheels to tubeless. I know the best way to go is Stans sealent, but i want to see what happens if I make my own sealent. First of all I am going to use latex liquid as the main substance. But what does it help to use window washer or anti freeze diluted with it. And if there is a purpose of anti freeze or window washer. Will there be a difference if Iuse either one ? Thanks !!!!

I did a ghetto tubeless on a bike. To keep it original I made my own sealant. Liquid Latex, window cleaner and a bottle of glitter. It worked very well. But at the end Stan stays the man IMO. Stans aint so expensive when you look at cost and effort to make your own sealant

What i am struggling to understand is, how does the window cleaner benefit the mixture ? Thanks

Am using geax fluid at the moment, R200 for a 1l bottle, R20 per wheel, acceptable if you ask me

Not too bad at all. Where did you get it from at that price ? Amd is it a specific tubeless sealent brand ? Or an alternative random liquid which works ? Thanks

the windowlene thins the mix

Oh ok, get it now !

Do you remember the ratio of latex to window washer by any chance ?

No worries if you dont. Just trying to gather as much info as possible :)

Antifreeze - either propylene or ethylene glycol is in there because they don't evaporate very well (very low vapor pressure) and will stay around much longer than just water - which acts to dilute the latex and keep it moving around.
